AI makes it so easy to Know… all the things… all the time.
The answer is just a click away. I know we’ve all seen it, I can specifically remember my mom starting to Google for every single unimportant question we’d muse over (what’s was the name of that restaurant 10 years ago…) to a point of being a bit obnoxious.
The anxiousness of not being able to sit with the not knowing immediately…
Maybe we don’t always need an answer…
Maybe not knowing is the whole point…

Our brains are wired to want to find answers.
To drill things down until they are understood.
Before something is fully understood it is often not believed, at least by society at large. There are plenty of instances when something has been a “known” part of a culture throughout history, but it cannot or has not been scientifically proven, and so is not fully believed.
Most of Eastern medicine, native wisdom, Toaism etc. is still not understood in our culture and yet here we are with ancient practices that continue to create results.
In Feng Shui it’s what my mentor refers to as the transcendental. There are two types of remedies in Shui; the mundane: those we see and understand, and the transcendental: those we cannot see and may not understand. Both can yield results… without us knowing how.
Welcome the unknown…
We don’t need to understand nature to revere nature. Sometimes we just need to be, to take it all in and realize not knowing is a safe space to be.
It’s going to be okay.
